When I find something I love, I dive in head first (in case you couldn’t already tell). My love for Beautycounter is no exception.
What started off with a search for how to brighten my skin and get rid of my dark spots using something non-toxic, turned into finding a love for the All Bright C Serum, which quickly turned into a new deodorant, then an entire new-to-me nighttime regimen, once-a-week masks and scrubs, tinted moisturizer, and more. Seriously, peep the current shower and bathroom counter situation:
Truth be told (since that’s what you’re always going to get with me), I actually wanted to hate the All Bright C Serum at first. Weird, I know. But knowing it was an MLM and I was buying “under” someone did a weird thing to my brain at first. This weird thought process of: of course I can go find a clean vitamin C serum equal/better that doesn’t support a friends business and ultimately their family and only supports the company/corporation it comes from. Like I said, weird.
Anddd once we came to our senses and came to terms with it, and tried literally every other clean vitamin C serum on the market just to be sure, THIS. IS. IT. I can’t go a day without it. My skin is bright and radiant, and I swear my dark spots have decreased (with this and a few VPL laser treatments over the years helping heal the major acne scars I had left from my teens and twenties). The best part? Beautycounter bans 2800 ingredients that are harmful to our bodies – that’s 2789 more ingredients than the FDA bans in the US, and 400 more ingredients than the European Union bans as of November 2023.
And the deodorant? Oh the deodorant. It’s not the first clean deodorant to work for me. I did find two brands prior to the Beautycounter release of The Clean Deo. My issue with the two other brands that “worked” which always left me looking for something better? The major discoloration they left on all of my clothing despite so much washing and stain removal. When The Clean Deo was finally released, I was hooked. Soft Lavender and Fresh Coconut are my personal faves and often land me compliments on how great I smell (even when I’m without my usual homemade perfume essential oil blend).
